It’s a question I’ve been asked a lot these days: ”What’s wrong with your home state?” This past year, we’ve had the soul-mate-lovin’-non-Appalachian-trail-hikin’ Gov. Mark Sanford, Joe “You Lie!” Wilson, and cemetery-prostitute-sexin’ Assist. Attorney General Roland Corning. And now, to top it all off, enter Andre “Don’t Feed the Poor, Kill Them” Bauer. Fuck, not even Mississippi has been this bad.
South Carolina has a long history of crazy politicians and demigods who have a disproportionate influence on the national discourse. But the state is much more than Bob Jones and Bob Inglis. This Assfactor 4 song reminds us of why everyone I know from SC holds parts of it close to their heart:
